COMPANY PROFILE & HISTORY
Gateway Global Limited is a new international company in the field of the sales,
marketing and distribution of die-cast models. Istablished in 1998 the company has offices in
Canada, Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and the USA. Their manufacturing plants are
located in China. They have also acquired licensing rights from major car manufacturers.
Such as Aston Martin, Daimler-Chrysler, Fiat, Ford, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Lexus, Peugeot,
Porsche, Rover, Toyota and VW.
TWO NEW BRANDS
In Hong Kong on the 22nd of January 1999 Gateway Global Limited announced the launch
of two new die-cast vehicle brands, GATE and AUTOart They have also recently
purchased the distribution arm of UT Limited. The current product line of UT Models
will complement the GATE and AUTOart products. These combined brands
will present a diverse range of products, catering to the needs of the fastest growing segments in
the die-cast market.
GATE: This brand will take popular models and replicate them on a scale that is affordable
and easy to collect. It targets the toy consumer market by offering a line of cars that
are very popular with young kids like the VW Beetle, Porsche 996 and Mazda MX5. In other words
It targets the toy market or the "young collectors market" Gateway says that this will be defined by
price and not by quality which they maintain will always be high. GATE products will also
be utilised within high volume die-cast promotional programmes.
AUTOart: This brand or line of 1:18 scale collectibles features authentic replication
and high details of superior quality in limited editions. Current must-haves
include the Range Rover, Lexus RX 300 and Toyota Rally. In other words it targets the serious collector
seeking a higher level of perfection and authenticity. Gateway says that this line will represent
exeptional value for money and that the quality and design would be as close to the original full-scale
products as possible.
